On 22nd July this year, Stefan finally got his girl when he married girlfriend of 7 years, Carlene. Despite going to the same school, it was years later that the couple hooked up after bumping into each other on a night out. Well, that and a gap of 10 months while Carlene thought about it!
By the time Carlene finally agreed to a date, Stefan was due to leave for Majorca where he would work for 3 months. They spent hours speaking via Skype every day and with 3 kids later (Luis, Dexter and Kingsley), the rest as they say, is history.....

A serious amount of planning went into their big day, Carlene contacted me over a year ahead of the wedding to enquire about us creating them a bespoke Game of Thrones themed table plan. But GoT was not to be the only theme of this total geek fest of a wedding.
No, not by a long shot. Carlene and Stefan were determined to create a unique and fun wedding experience for their guests, kicking off with Jack Sparrow and a Stormtrooper greeting their guests at the drinks reception!
This followed Stefan and Carlene's outdoor ceremony at the stunning Abbeywood Estate.
While Irish band Green Hot Clover played on the lawn, the lads played football, the girls drank Prosecco and the couple's son, Dexter learned to play croquet.
As well as the many big things, there were many smaller details creating the perfect day. In her shoes, bridesmaid necklaces and shoes, Carlene made subtle reference to her love of Disney.
Add to that an understated Alice in Wonderland tea party vibe to the wedding tables.
A love of Game of Thrones was also to be included and the whole thing weaved together perfectly. Carlene found an artist on Etsy (Svetlaprint) to create images for each table to use in their stationery. We used them as our inspiration to create a Game of Thrones themed wedding table plan with matching table cards and place cards.
The cake wasn't left out either and featured this gorgeous Game of Thrones cake topper.
Disney, Star Wars and GoT ticked off the list, next was to incorporate Stefan's devotion to Manchester City FC. The time of the league winning goal by Aguero was stitched into Stefan's jacket collar and even Carlene got involved with a blue and white MCFC garter!
The two Man Utd fanatical Best Men were forced to enter the wedding breakfast to the MCFC anthem Blue Moon! Nice touch, guys.
The beautiful bridesmaids on the other hand, had the privilege of entering to Jessie J's Sexy Lady.
Stefan, Carlene, and their guests sang and danced their way through the dinner to tracks from Oasis' Wonderwall to Jungle Book classic, I Wanna Be Like You.
With the dinner and speeches done, day turned into night and the evening was kicked off with a first dance to the Irish classic, Steve Earle's Galway Girl. Guests were then treated to a full on Ibiza party. Carlene recalls dancing right through the night, missing the evening food, cake and candy cart.
As well as Carlene's sore feet, after a day like that I'd bet there were many sore heads too! It's been a privilege to write up this post in celebration of Mr and Mrs Remneson's big day, so many gorgeous images to feature! But then working in the wedding industry themselves with their own wedding videography company, YSD Media, they had the luxury of handpicking the best of the best wedding suppliers and I'm only too happy to share their details with you here:
After shooting a wedding there back in July 2015, Stefan and Carlene fell in love with Abbeywood Estate. The surroundings and flower gardens were perfect for the outdoor wedding they wanted. And after a rainy few days the weather held up!
James Tracey Photography & Jeff Wood Visuals captured the day.
Howard Wing Weddings, Green Hot Clover, Six15 Events Ltd, Imperial Icons & Simon Newton: Jack Sparrow Lookalike kept guests thoroughly entertained.
LS Photobooths provided a selfie mirror.
There was no other place for Stefan to get suits than Nicola & Craig at Whitfield & Ward.
Carlene's bespoke wedding dress was made by Boutique Alterations Ltd and her wedding day hair & make up was by Holly Lander Make-Up Artist and Hair Stylist.
Red floral architecture made the bride's dreams come true with a vibrant & colourful theme for the day.
The Word Is Love for provided the huge Mr & Mrs Remneson light up sign.
The Pretty in Print Company designed the Game of Thrones themed wedding stationery.
Pretty Tasty Cake made the delicious wedding cake and the candy cart came from Candystripe Couture Ltd which apparently Carlene and Stefan's three children polished off in 28 seconds!

I always think buying gifts for Mother's Day is harder than for a birthday; there's a little more sentiment behind it. The months and years seem to roll around so quickly these days and each year seems to get a bit harder!
I've actually started a kind of present diary now, I make a note of what I get people (mainly family) so that I can refer back to it; I can also make notes of gift ideas I think of throughout the year. It helps avoid repeating presents too!
With Mothers Day just around the corner, I've put together a list of my favourite gifts for Grandma (or Nanny, Nana, Granny, whichever name you use!).

From doughnut walls to abstract masterpieces, wedding cake trends continue to evolve, but what will be big in 2018?
I've got the low-down together with some gorgeous examples to get those creative juices flowing!

I don't know about you, but I always feel like a Valentine's gift has to hit the right tone. Somewhere there has to be some kind of meaning or romance to make it worthy of being presented on the day of love!
Well, I've spent hours exploring ideas to fit the bill (and the budget) and assembled my ten favourites here.
