THE BIRTH OF NAMES IN FRAMES

February 22, 2013

IT STARTED WITH I DO!

Names In Frames was born on 6th November 2010, which is the date that Sally and Ben became Mr and Mrs Baker! After failing to find a table plan that suited, Ben, a Creative Designer, and Sally a Product Marketing Manager decided they would design their own table plan and all the other bits of wedding stationery too.

The output is the ‘At The Races’ table plan you see on our website today. A quirky take on the Racing Post, each table became the name of a race, and each guest a jockey in that race, with each guest having their own racing silk and even their current form! The idea was so different it sparked lively conversation at the dinner table and resulted in other friends (and friends of friends) asking us to design table plans for them.

A little over a year later and the arrival of a new little Baker took the fledgling business on a new course with Ben designing personalised artwork for the nursery wall and once again friends (and friends of friends) asked us to do pieces for them. It didn’t take long before we were designing bespoke artwork for many other occasions until Names In Frames arrived at where it is today, a full time business.

We pride ourselves in the quality of our work, we want our customers to be delighted with their purchase and so no detail is overlooked, from the initial design of each piece, to the time spent in personalising the design so that it is just right, to checking the colour quality of each print, mounting and framing so that items are ready to hang for framed prints and packaging so that everything arrives in perfect condition. We love our work and want our customers to love it too.

I've actually started a kind of present diary now, I make a note of what I get people (mainly family) so that I can refer back to it; I can also make notes of gift ideas I think of throughout the year. It helps avoid repeating presents too!

With Mothers Day just around the corner, I've put together a list of my favourite gifts for Grandma (or Nanny, Nana, Granny, whichever name you use!).
