It's that time of year again when we get to say thank you to our Dad for being so great and Father's Day is now less than two weeks away, falling this year on June 21st. For many of us (definitely me!), it also means spending a couple of weeks agonising over what will make the perfect Father's Day gift - so yes you've guessed it, I've written a gift guide! Here are my 10 favourite Father's Day gifts, all of which have been road tested on some Dads so you can be sure they're good choices. Click on any image to buy...
1. Classic Leather Hip Flask
A hip flask (so I am reliably informed) is something every man should own and this one by Aspinal of London is a beautiful example if ever I saw one. Priced at £45, this particular one also currently comes with free personalisation making it a perfect gift this Father's Day.
2. Insulated 'Brown Paper' Lunch Bag
Trust me! This is a reuseable, insulated lunch bag that is designed to look like a brown paper bag. My husband bought one a few months ago (£8.99 from I Want One of Those), because apparently they're 'in'. He has in fact used it every day since and a few of the people he works with have also gone on to buy one, so this item which is at the cheaper end of the scale, is definitely a good buy.
3. Inkless Hand and Footprint Kit
This kit by Stomp Stamps on Not on the High Street is a lovely idea for a first Father's Day gift. For £8.95, this inkless kit uses a colourless wipe to take and transfer your baby's prints meaning there is no mess!
4. Personalised Phone Stand
These oak iPhone/iPad stands are perfect for Dads with a desk and start at £28 (extra for personalised designs) from The Oak and Rope Company on Not on the High Street. Charger cables can be integrated beneath the block so Dad will always know where his charger is.
5. Swimming Shorts
Is your Dad going on holiday this summer? When is the last time he had some new swimming shorts (or trunks!)? This pair are £50 by Ralph Lauren but of course you can shop around to suit your Dad's own style.
6. Personalised Song Lyrics Print
If you like to give Dad something more personal that he can look back on for years to come, then our own Personalised Song Lyrics print at just £15 would make a perfect Father's Day gift idea. Bring his favourite song to life by choosing some words for a personalised poster, we can add either the artist and year of release or your own short message (such as 'Love your Daughter, Lindsay. Father's Day, 2015'). See some examples by clicking the image above.
7. Best Dads Get Promoted!
Let's not forget Grandad! I love the message on this keyring which would be perfect for the 'man shed' or garage perhaps and a lovely idea for a gift from the whole family. £9.99 from Getting Personal.
8. Waterproof Sports Camera/Camcorder
I have a couple of options for you here on my next Father's Day gift idea - the waterproof sports camera. From strapping it to a helmet to film a biking or skiing trip to taking some brilliant underwater photos, this camera has so many functions it really would make a great gift. The first option is this one above at £42 plus £7 delivery from Amazon and is rated 4.4 out of 5 stars. Perfect for a smaller budget or to see if Dad likes it before spending more on a better version.
Alternatively, at £264 with free delivery from Amazon you can get the similarly rated (4.6 stars) Go Pro Hero 4. Amongst other things, the Go Pro offers a much better battery life than the cheaper option.
9. Licence to Grill BBQ Apron
With BBQ season upon us, a BBQ apron is a great gift idea for Father's Day and these ones at £9.99 from The Oak Room all feature a quirky beer holder pocket!
10. Posh Shoe Shine Kit
My final Father's Day gift idea is this Jacob Jones shoe shine kit from John Lewis. At £30, it features everything you need for gleaming shoes and it's all kept tidy in this handsome case with checked inside. No more searching in the utility or under the kitchen sink for the polish and battered shoe brush!

I always think buying gifts for Mother's Day is harder than for a birthday; there's a little more sentiment behind it. The months and years seem to roll around so quickly these days and each year seems to get a bit harder!
I've actually started a kind of present diary now, I make a note of what I get people (mainly family) so that I can refer back to it; I can also make notes of gift ideas I think of throughout the year. It helps avoid repeating presents too!
With Mothers Day just around the corner, I've put together a list of my favourite gifts for Grandma (or Nanny, Nana, Granny, whichever name you use!).

From doughnut walls to abstract masterpieces, wedding cake trends continue to evolve, but what will be big in 2018?
I've got the low-down together with some gorgeous examples to get those creative juices flowing!

I don't know about you, but I always feel like a Valentine's gift has to hit the right tone. Somewhere there has to be some kind of meaning or romance to make it worthy of being presented on the day of love!
Well, I've spent hours exploring ideas to fit the bill (and the budget) and assembled my ten favourites here.
