My 10 best items for your Easter home

March 17, 2015

Before I had children, Easter decorations at home would at best be a bowl of mini eggs on the coffee table. Decorating the house would be confined to Christmas. Now though, I find myself coveting trinkets to scatter about the house in an attempt to create a bit of Easter excitement for my girls. Here are my 10 favourites, click the titles to go straight to the product page for any that tickle your fancy:

1. The Easter Garland

You have to include a garland or bunting somewhere, don't you? This one is £12 and is so pretty!

2. The Easter Wreath

There are lots of wreathes around online, many incorporating eggs etc but I chose this understated one to share with you. Priced at £36, you could really display this all Spring.

3. The Easter Tree

Yep, there is such a thing! A great price at £13.50 and you could re-use it at Christmas too. Lots of hanging Easter decorations available to 'Easter it up'.

4. Set Of Six Polka Dot Easter Egg Decorations

£8.99 for this set of 6, would be perfect for the tree!

5. The Easter Sign

Cute! £8 for the small one or £16 for the large.

6. Wooden Chicken Coasters

£10.50 for four, and they could really be used all year round if you needed any more persuading...

7. Speckled Egg Dish

You remember the bowl of mini eggs I mentioned? Wouldn't one of these be perfect? £13 in either blue or natural.

8. Vintage Hen Egg Basket

Now this one you really CAN use all year round! £15 and I love it. Very country kitchen!

9. Easter Paper Chains

£3.75 for an Easter decoration AND a craft activity for the children!

10. Easter Egg Hunt Sack

And finally! Love this egg hunt sack for £6. It measures (approx) 270x350mm so is a great size, not too big, not too small and a lovely alternative to a basket.

With just over two weeks until Good Friday, now is the ideal time to grab a couple of items. I'll be following this up with some more Easter blogs - look out for my favourite egg cups on the market and a gift guide with alternatives to chocolate eggs. 8 Mothers Day Gift Ideas for Grandma
8 Mothers Day Gift Ideas for Grandma

February 16, 2018

I always think buying gifts for Mother's Day is harder than for a birthday; there's a little more sentiment behind it. The months and years seem to roll around so quickly these days and each year seems to get a bit harder!

I've actually started a kind of present diary now, I make a note of what I get people (mainly family) so that I can refer back to it; I can also make notes of gift ideas I think of throughout the year. It helps avoid repeating presents too!

With Mothers Day just around the corner, I've put together a list of my favourite gifts for Grandma (or Nanny, Nana, Granny, whichever name you use!).
