So, gift ideas for him? Wow, I found it so much harder to come up with 5 ideas that would be universally appealing to men than I did for women. It seems to me that men’s tastes and interests change with age much more so than they do for women, do you agree? For example, in my experience women of all ages are interested in clothes and jewellery, but men (in general) less so – with younger guys having much more interest than those that are a little older (or maybe that’s just my Dad and Father–in-law!).
Anyway, I’ve road tested these ideas and there’s sure to be something on my list for the men in your life… Here they are, my top 5 gift ideas for HIM:
1. Eat, DRINK and be merry
I’m sure you all recognise the name of this ultra stylish looking whisky, yep it’s the one created in partnership with David Beckham. This single grain variety is tipped as being the next big trend in whisky drinking. With butterscotch and toffee, it even sounds tasty to me! A 70cl bottle of Haig Club will set you back just £37 from Amazon.
2. Smoothly does it…
Did you know that two thirds of women prefer to date a man with a beard? It doesn’t look like the beard growing trend is going to be ‘cut short’ anytime soon and this grooming kit could be the perfect gift for the bearded man. Containing all the essentials for maintaining and styling, it’s all presented in a luxury box and comes in at £80 from Murdoch London.
3. The gift that keeps delivering
This has got to be a definite winner, no matter what he’s into there’s bound to be a magazine that covers it! Subscribe for 6 months or a year and this gift will keep him smiling well after Christmas.
4. Gaming must have
If you’re buying for your other half, I guess you better resign yourself to the end of life as you know it with this one! The go-to gift for the guy who loves his video games. For gamers, life (apparently) does not get more exciting than this – Destiny is the next evolution of the first-person action genre. Available from Amazon at £40.67.
5. And to cap it off…
For my last idea, I’m getting as close to men’s clothing as I dare. This brown check Pheasant Trapper at £39.95 by Barbour is traditionally styled, but featuring quirky pheasant embroidery. The quilted crown and faux fur-trimmed peak and ear flaps provide luxurious winter warmth, sure to be appreciated by all.
Right, I’m off to start ordering (or for a little lie down after researching that)! As with my Gifts for HER blog, you'll be able to find similar items to those listed here to suit your own budget.

I always think buying gifts for Mother's Day is harder than for a birthday; there's a little more sentiment behind it. The months and years seem to roll around so quickly these days and each year seems to get a bit harder!
I've actually started a kind of present diary now, I make a note of what I get people (mainly family) so that I can refer back to it; I can also make notes of gift ideas I think of throughout the year. It helps avoid repeating presents too!
With Mothers Day just around the corner, I've put together a list of my favourite gifts for Grandma (or Nanny, Nana, Granny, whichever name you use!).
From doughnut walls to abstract masterpieces, wedding cake trends continue to evolve, but what will be big in 2018?
I've got the low-down together with some gorgeous examples to get those creative juices flowing!
I don't know about you, but I always feel like a Valentine's gift has to hit the right tone. Somewhere there has to be some kind of meaning or romance to make it worthy of being presented on the day of love!
Well, I've spent hours exploring ideas to fit the bill (and the budget) and assembled my ten favourites here.
