There’s no getting away from it now, Christmas will be upon us before we know it and I don’t know about you, but I have an ever present feeling of mild alarm going on and will do until my shopping is complete.
Lists are my key, I don’t feel so bad if I haven’t bought everything, so long as I have a list with all my present ideas on! At the moment, I have blank spaces to fill and as I ponder what might go on there, I thought I’d share some of my gift ideas with you.
First up, gift ideas for HER. I’ve done my best to come up with 5 quality, universally appealing ideas and here they are:
1. All wrapped up
OK, so you’ve done scarves and gloves to death, what else is there? Well, I came across this gorgeous Deep Border Blanket Wrap by Per Una at M & S and I think it would make a fantastic gift. It’s available in two colours, natural mix and black/grey, both of which I reckon would complement most wardrobes and the best bit is that it’s one size only, you can’t go wrong! Priced at £39.50, this wrap has a 5* rating by customers.
2. A piece of cake!
If the lady you’re shopping for has a love of baking, then a cake knife and server set could be the perfect gift this year. Chances are she has all the aprons/cake stands/cook books she needs for now so this could be a great alternative. I love this Vera Wang set at £40 from Selfridges, it’s on my own Christmas list!
3. All locked up!
Which lady doesn’t love jewellery?! I think this stunning, silver, personalised heart locket has it all. Romance, beauty, sentiment, a sure recipe for a happy lady. You can personalise on both the front and back if you choose, and it comes presented in a gift box tied with silk ribbon. Available at £36, plus free delivery, this 5* rated item is sold by Hurley Burley on Not On The High Street.com.
4. The lady loves....
Milk tray? Well aside from that, why not surprise her by showing how much you really know her with this personalised print detailing all of her favourite things. You can choose to include up to 8 words or phrases and this stylish design will look great anywhere in the home. An unframed print is available from us at just £30, or have the hassle of framing sorted for you for an extra £20.
5. All home grown
Finally, I shared a blog on my Facebook page recently, detailing ideas for Christmas hampers (by Netmums) and they were so good I didn’t feel my list could be complete without one of them! There are literally endless ideas for hampers, and I think they really show love and thought. For this list, I picked out the gardening one for the green fingered girly in your life. Pack a pot/basket with things such as gloves, seeds, bulbs, mini watering can, a book (about gardening, obviously!), kneeling pad, garden ornament or tools. A perfect idea for any budget.
Phew! I hope that’s given you some ideas or inspiration, and you could find variations on all my gifts to suit your budget, whatever it may be. Let me know your perfect gift ideas for her below and let’s share the Christmas shopping love!
Look out for my next Chistmas gift blog, ideas for HIM…
I always think buying gifts for Mother's Day is harder than for a birthday; there's a little more sentiment behind it. The months and years seem to roll around so quickly these days and each year seems to get a bit harder!
I've actually started a kind of present diary now, I make a note of what I get people (mainly family) so that I can refer back to it; I can also make notes of gift ideas I think of throughout the year. It helps avoid repeating presents too!
With Mothers Day just around the corner, I've put together a list of my favourite gifts for Grandma (or Nanny, Nana, Granny, whichever name you use!).
From doughnut walls to abstract masterpieces, wedding cake trends continue to evolve, but what will be big in 2018?
I've got the low-down together with some gorgeous examples to get those creative juices flowing!
I don't know about you, but I always feel like a Valentine's gift has to hit the right tone. Somewhere there has to be some kind of meaning or romance to make it worthy of being presented on the day of love!
Well, I've spent hours exploring ideas to fit the bill (and the budget) and assembled my ten favourites here.
