I don't know about you, but I always feel like a Valentine's gift has to hit the right tone. Somewhere there has to be some kind of meaning or romance to make it worthy of being presented on the day of love!
Well, I've spent hours exploring ideas to fit the bill (and the budget) and assembled my ten favourites here.
1. Our Life Story
This gift truly has the romance factor. With 1,080 pages for you to fill with your dreams, memories and more this Our Life Story book would make a perfect Valentine's Gift for a fiancé, new husband or even a new boyfriend.
At the time of writing, this journal is on sale at £27 but is just £36 at full price. Grab it here.
2. Heart to Heart Cheese Box
What's not to like? A gift set of cheese combining cheddar and brie, this heart shaped duo from Godminster gets a double thumbs up on my love gift spectrum! Falling into the under £20 category at £17.45, it's a great price too. Shop now here.
3. Weekend bag
Encourage your man to ditch the rucksack with this navy weekend bag. Although a little lower on the love gift scale, since it can be used for romantic breaks with you it still makes the cut. At £65 it suits a medium budget. 'Bag' it here.
4. Spa break
SpaSeekers have a collection of spa packages up and down the country, designed specifically for couples. An alluring gift you can both enjoy! Find your perfect break via their website.
5. Love vouchers
A token gift, these vouchers get 5* reviews on Amazon. From road trips to breakfast in bed, they're a fun gift that offer so much more than you could usually get for just £5.95! Shop here now.
6. A warm hug
These cashmere football scarves are a touch of luxury! A testimony to your love for him, he'll think of you every time he cosies up inside it on those cold days in the stand. £75 will get you one of these gorgeous woolies, shop here.
7. Booze tour
Whatever his booze of choice, you're sure to find a perfect experience for two not far away. The Metro has listed 19 of the best gin distillery tours here but equally, a brewery tour, whisky or wine tasting could work as well.
8. Red hot undies
A classic lover's gift, sexy undies! These logo print trunks from Tommy Hilfiger are particularly ravishing in red. Get them at £24 from Asos.
9. Lego fest
If you can't quite stretch to the real thing, this Lego Porsche will be just as much of a hit. While it might not be immensely romantic, he'll be sure to love you for it. On sale at time of writing for £179 at Amazon.
10. Unbearable without you
Rounding up the Valentine's Day gift guide for him are these cute sweets jars. There are a few variations with different messages (all at £10) over at The Great Gift Company and are much more thoughtful than a slab of chocolate. Shop now.
All that's left to do now, is elect your favourite! A hard choice I know...

I always think buying gifts for Mother's Day is harder than for a birthday; there's a little more sentiment behind it. The months and years seem to roll around so quickly these days and each year seems to get a bit harder!
I've actually started a kind of present diary now, I make a note of what I get people (mainly family) so that I can refer back to it; I can also make notes of gift ideas I think of throughout the year. It helps avoid repeating presents too!
With Mothers Day just around the corner, I've put together a list of my favourite gifts for Grandma (or Nanny, Nana, Granny, whichever name you use!).
From doughnut walls to abstract masterpieces, wedding cake trends continue to evolve, but what will be big in 2018?
I've got the low-down together with some gorgeous examples to get those creative juices flowing!
